Series Description

The V TV show was a sci-fi series on NBC where aliens arrived on Earth and they looked just like humans. The only "apparent" difference was that their voices didn't sound like ours. They said that they are here as friends and offered us all the help that their advanced technology could make possible. Everything appeared to be wonderful but often, things were not as they appear! All of the V segments should be watched in the order they aired. First came the "V Miniseries", second "V - The Final Battle Miniseries", and third "The V TV Series". The five miniseries episodes were 120 minutes in length and the nineteen V TV series episodes were each 60 minutes long.

V TV Show Trivia

One of Marc Singer's earliest televised appearances was on the second episode of the 1974 TV show, "Planet of the Apes".

Robert Englund's father designed the U-2 spy plane!

Richard Herd played the role of Captain Dennis Sheridan as a cast member on the series, "T.J. Hooker" from 1982-1985. He stated once that he wished he could have been in Hollywood earlier and worked on some of the classic sci-fi series, especially Star Trek. Therefore, he really enjoyed working on T.J. Hooker with William Shatner and even once was in the episode "Vengeance Is Mine" where Leonard Nimoy guest-starred!

In some ways the movie, mini series and the Final Battle might remind you of Nazi Germany history. Someone tells the people how much they will do for them. The citizens like what they hear so much that they don't question the actions of their benefactors. As those actions become horrific, most people become fearful, don't say anything and simply try to go unnoticed but a few fight back. As the freedom fighters gain a victory or two, more people join the fight. Sound familiar?

Marc Singer did many of his own stunts. During the filming of V, he smashed and elbow and cracked a rib.

Jane Badler (Diana) started her career playing the character of Melinda Cramer Janssen on the daytime drama, "One Life to Live".

An end to the show was never filmed although there was a script written for it! That's probably best anyway as the quality of the last couple of episodes that did air was pretty bad! It's likely that budget issues resulted in "throwing together" the last couple of episodes but up until then the entire V saga is pretty great!
