Series Description

The McLeod's Daughters TV show was a 60 minute Australian drama series on Channel Nine about two half sisters who hadn't seen each other for twenty years. After their father's death the estranged sister (Tess) returned to the family cattle ranch located in the outback of southern Australia. She was hoping to get paid for her share of the ranch so she could return to the city and open a cafe. Her sister Claire resented her big city sister for wanting a share of the life in which she had never participated. In the end, it made little difference as the ranch was heavily mortgaged and, therefore, there was not to be any money for Tess. The sisters decided to fire the male ranch hands and try to make a go of the ranch along with their housekeeper Meg, her daughter Jodi, and a local girl named Becky. Can two sisters so long seperated and used to such different lives mend their relationship and make a success of a tough business in the middle of nowhere with only three other women at their sides?
