Series Description

The Head Start TV show was a 60 minute Australian adventure /drama series on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) about a competition for Australians from 18-21 years of age to promote original thought, resourcefulness and success. The competitors proposed ventures in fields including science, the arts, business and sports. Winners received $20,000 awards along with a warehouse to develop their ventures where they would work alongside six other winners. They also got assistance from their mentor, Garrett Quinn, a 40-year-old former business genius who went broke during the economic crash of 1987 and hoped to make up for his failure by helping the young adults succeed. Of course, when you put seven hormone flowing achievers together in one place along with an adult in a role of authority over them you are bound to get a bunch of drama!
