Ed Trivia:

The producers, cast, and crew can take some real pride in the fact that the Ed TV show survived its first season despite some amazing competition in its time slot on Sunday nights from 8:00 to 9:00PM! ABC was airing the final hour of "The Wonderful World of Disney", CBS was broadcasting "Touched by an Angel", and FOX was running "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm in the Middle"!

Julie Bowen didn't stay unemployed very long after the Ed TV show went off the air! She almost immediately moved into a co-starring role as "Denise Bauer" on the series "Boston Legal".

Justin Long was the victim of one of Ashton Kutcher and crew's practical jokes on the sixth season of Ashton's MTV series titled, "Punk'd". Actor Josh Randall played the role of Dr. Mike Burton on the Ed TV show. Josh Randall was also the main character's name (played by Steve McQueen) on the 1958 series, "Wanted: Dead or Alive".
