Series Description The Dawson's Creek TV show was a 60 minute drama series on the WB Network (now the CW Network). It was about four teenagers who had been friends since they were very young. Together, they tried their best to get through those difficult years where you're no longer a child but also not yet an adult. Dawson's Creek Cast

The Dawson's Creek TV show had a mini "spin-off series" titled, "Young Americans". That series' main character, "Will Krudski" (played by actor, "Rodney Scott"), first appeared on Dawson's Creek in episodes #54-56 (see titles below). Will supposedly was a schoolmate of Dawson, Joey, and Pacey from years earlier. He had moved away and was returning for a short visit. Will appeared on Dawson's Creek strictly as a method of interesting viewers in the new series and that's why we call it a "mini" spin-off. Young Americans actually aired on the WB Network in Dawson's Creek's time slot over the summer of 2000 and then disappeared, never to be seen again.
The Dawson's Creek TV show began as a project at the FOX Network but they eventually decided against producing it. Consequently, the series had so much production planning done that the WB Network producers had all thirteen of the first season episodes ready to air before the pilot was broadcast!
Perhaps the producers of Dawson's Creek should have taken things a bit more slowly though. The first 13 episodes took place in Massachusetts from fall to springtime, and yet, we never saw any snow, boots, or winter clothing!
Katie Holmes was the only actor to appear in every single episode of the Dawson's Creek TV show.
It took a full seven days to produce one episode of Dawson's Creek.
Katie Holmes auditioned for the role of "Buffy" on the series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but they felt that she was too young even though Buffy was a high school student and Katie was 18 years old!
Since Dawson's Creek was the first real "mega-series" for the WB Network, it's appropriate that the Dawson's Creek pilot episode was the very last show broadcast on the WB (September 17, 2006 at 9 PM) before it merged with UPN to become the CW Network!
