Series Description

United States of Al is a comedy series with dramatic moments that premiered on CBS on April 1, 2021. It's about Awalmir Karimi (Al) who served as an interpreter for the U.S. military in Afghanistan and now in America he is living with his buddy Riley Dugan who served in the Marine Corps and worked with Al during his service. Most of the comedy centers around the differences in culture. The more serious moments deal with Riley's PTSD and Al's concern over friends and relatives he left behind in Afghanistan which is now being ruled by the Taliban.
