Series Description
The Scrubs TV show was a 30 minute comedy series on NBC for the first seven seasons, then on ABC. It wa about the lives of a group of interns who worked together at Sacred Heart Hospital. They spent more time getting into ridiculous situations (and quite funny ones) than they did taking care of patients.

Scrubs Trivia
There were constant rumors of Scrubs being canceled throughout its seventh season on the air. Finally, during the summer of 2008, NBC formally announced that they would be dropping Scrubs from their lineup. ABC nearly immediately announced that they would bring back the series for an eighth season. Ironically, Scrubs was being produced at ABC studios, so the announcement wasn't a total surprise! Even more ironically, Scrubs had originally been picked up by NBC only after ABC rejected it!
A hospital that was no longer in business, (the North Hollywood Medical Center in California's San Fernando Valley), was leased and completely remodelled to produce "Sacred Heart Hospital" for the series. They even used a couple of floors of the hospital as office space, dressing rooms, and non-hospital sets. The name "Sacred Heart" came from the name of a school that Christa Miller, (writer Bill Lawrence's wife), had once attended.
Michael Muhney ("Sheriff Don Lamb" on "Veronica Mars") nearly won the role of "J.D." on Scrubs, but was turned down because he wasn't "quirky" enough.
When the second season of the Scrubs TV show opened, there was a new longer intro that featured all of the show's characters rather than just the doctors. Then NBC decided that they needed to increase the viewing time of the series in order to increase the audience size and they quickly returned to the shorter intro.
