Roy Rogers Show Theme Song

Title: "Happy Trails"

Written By: "Dale Evans"

Performed By: "Roy Rogers and Dale Evans"

Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.

It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.

Happy trails to you,
Until we meet again.
Happy trails to you,
Keep smilin' until then.

Who cares about the clouds when we'ere together?
Just sing a song, and bring the sunny weather.

Happy trails to you,
Til we meet again.

Roy Rogers Show Trivia

Roy Rogers, also known as the "King of the Cowboys", was actually born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dale Evans was also known as the "Queen of the Cowgirls".

Roy guest-starred on an episode of, "Wonder Woman" titled, "Bushwackers" that aired on January 29, 1977. He told that show's producers that he wouldn't appear on the show unless Linda Carter (who played Wonder Woman) wore more clothes than she normally wore on the show! They must have really wanted Roy to appear badly because Linda wore a top with sleeves and pants for that episode!

Roy and Dale's ranch was the "Double 'R' Ranch".

After the series ended on NBC's Sunday prime time lineup, it returned on CBS in reruns from 1961 to 1964.

There was also a Roy Rogers Show on the radio for approximately 348 episodes beginning in 1944. That series ran until July of 1955, overlapping four seasons with the TV series!

After a career spanning nearly 100 movies and 100 episodes of his TV show, Roy Rogers "semi" retired from show business. His last appearance was on an episode of, "The Fall Guy" titled, "King of the Cowboys". It was broadcast on February 29, 1984. Roy was 72-years-old.
