Series Description

Real Housewives of New York City is a 60 minute reality series on Bravo that follows a number of determined, driven women who strive to excel in at parenthood, social life and careers all at the same time. Add to that the pressures of life in the big city and it's a lot to ask of anyone. Sometimes tempers flare. For sure, there's never a dull moment!

Real Housewives of New York City Trivia

While the ladies on Real Housewives New York do spend time as housewives, that term alone hardly describes them adequately. Like many women in the modern world there's a lot more than cooking, cleaning and raising children going on in their lives. Bethenny Frankel was not even a house(wife) when the series premiered. She did however marry in March of 2010. Frankel and Ramona Singer both own their own businesses and McCord, Singer and Zarin all worked outside the home in addition to their household careers. So again, like many women today, the ladies are juggling careers both in and out of the home.

The Real Housewives of New York City generated a "spinoff series" in 2010 titled, "Bethenny Getting Married?". The title was changed to "Bethenny Ever After" in season two. It pretty much follows the same storylines as the "Real Housewife" series except that it concentrates solely on Bethenny Frankel's attempts to balance her life as a housewife, mother and businesswoman.
