Series Description

The Police Squad TV show was a 30 minute crime comedy series on ABC that was actually a parody of many other TV shows and films. This may be the best example of a series that was cancelled too soon. The meager six episodes gained such a strong cult following in repeated repeats that three movies were produced based on the characters on this show! The movies were, "Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!", "The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear" and "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult". If you haven't seen this series or any of the aforementioned films, you may have seen Leslie Nielsen perform in another parody movie, "Airplane!". If you liked any of those, you're sure to love Police Squad!
