Series Description

The Poirot TV show was a 60 minute British crime drama series that aired on ITV in the United Kingdom, on Public Television in the U.S., and elsewhere over much of the world! It was about a famous Belgian detective who, along with his doting assistant, Captain Hastings, solved any crime that is too baffling for the police.

Poirot Trivia

This series was not the first Poirot drama in which David Suchet appeared. In 1985, he was in the TV movie, "Thirteen at Dinner" where he played the role of Chief Inspector Japp and Peter Ustinov played Poirot!

The Hotel featured in the Poirot TV Special, "Evil Under the Sun" was, in real life, the hotel where Agatha Christie wrote the book of the same name!

In order for David Suchet to play the much fatter Hercule Poirot, he wore body padding for the role and shirts with wing collars were used to make his neck seem chunkier.
