Series Description

The Man Called Sloane TV show was a 60 minute action / adventure series on NBC about a self-employed spy for hire who worked for usually took on assignments from an undercover agency named "UNIT". UNIT used him to infiltrate the evil secret organization known as "KARTEL". He was often assisted in his assignments by his sidekick named "Torque" who had a removable hand that allowed the attachment of guns, drills, saw blades and other devices. "Effie", the talking computer also helped out.

A Man Called Sloane Trivia

A movie length pilot was filmed with Robert Logan in the role of Sloane. Ji-Tu Cumbuka did appear in the pilot as Torque but that character was an evil villain instead of an assistant to Sloane. Dan O'Herlihy also appeared as The Director. The pilot eventually aired on March 5, 1981 as a TV Movie on NBC.
