Rob Lowe is one of the original members of the 1980s group called "The Brat Pack". Fellow members are Emilio Estevez, Michael Hall, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and Mare Winningham. The term Brat Pack was first mentioned in a 1985 New York magazine article and quickly caught on. It refered to the fact that the members had all appeared in 1980s coming-of-age films that were highly successful with teenagers. The two main films that inspired the Brat Pack label were "The Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmo's Fire". The members generally hate the term.
Rob Lowe has enjoyed a full career in movies and on television. In addition to The Lyon's Den he has also starred on "The West Wing", "Dr. Vegas" and "Brothers and Sisters".
Even if you never saw The Lyon's Den you still probably know Elizabeth Mitchell from her roles on "LOST" and "V-The Series" or Robert Picardo as the emergency medical doctor on "Star Trek: Voyager" or Paula Newsome on "Women's Murder Club" or Kyle Chandler on "Friday Night Lights" or David Krumholtz on "Numb3rs". With such a great cast it's difficult to understand how this series could have failed!
Rob Lowe also served as executive producer for The Lyons Den. In addition, he produced "Dr. Vegas" and was co-producer of "Frank and Jesse".
