Series Description The Last of the Mohicans was a dramatic miniseries that aired on the BBC and later in the U.S. on Masterpiece Theater. The story took place in 1757 in the British Province of New York during the French and Indian War (aka: the Seven Years War). The British and the French were fighting for domination of the U.S. colonies. The French necessarily allied with the American Indians in order to give them a chance against the mostly British colonists. When the French lost the war, it was disastrous for the Indians as they had been greatly weakened by the war and were abandoned by their ally. Last of the Mohicans Miniseries Cast
