Series Description

The Lancer TV show was a 60 minute western action series on CBS about a strong father raising his two sons in the old west. The boys had different mothers and were very different from each other. The older one was highly educated and a former lieutenant colonel in the Union Army. The younger son was more of a "man's man" and a gunslinger. The series was an obvious attempt to duplicate the hugh success of the series, "Bonanza" and while it did reasonably well, it never reached anything near the same audience.
