Series Description

The Gotham TV show is a 60 minute fantasy crime series on FOX about Detective James Gordon's early days with the Gotham Police Department before he became Police Commissioner. Together with his partner Harvey Bullock, they investigate Gotham City's highest profile cases including the murder of Bruce Wayne's parents. The young Wayne is being raised by his butler Alfred and also becomes friends with Gordon, a relationship that will help move the boy's future towards crime-fighting. Along the way, Gordon's investigations will introduce we fans to the early days of many of Batman's future foes!

Gotham was originally planned to simply follow Gordon's early days on the force but eventually evolved into more emphasis on Batman's early development and the early days of the villains including Catwoman, the Joker, the Penguin, Poison Ivy, the Riddler and Scarecrow.
