Series Description The Dharma and Greg TV show was a 30 minute comedy series on ABC about a couple who met, fell in love at first sight, and got married on their first date. At the end of each episode, the producer inserted a message of a second or less. If you record the show and pause-search, you can read them. The one for the very first episode starts, "Thank you for videotaping "Dharma & Greg" and freeze-framing on my vanity card." Near the end it reads, "I believe that when ABC reads this, I'm gonna be in biiiiig trouble."
One of the reasons that Dharma's parents were unhappy about the marriage was because they were "anti-war" and "anti-establishment" types left over from the 1960s and Greg was a member of the "establishment".
Dharma's mother had an unusual hobby. She enjoyed painting in the nude.
Jenna Elfman began her career in TV commercials. She also appeared in guest roles on other series before landing her starring role on Dharma and Greg. She is also a classically trained ballerina! She won a Golden Globe for her role on Dharma and Greg and her Uncle is Tony Butala, founder of and performer in the vocal group, "The Letterman".

Thomas Gibson won a scholarship to the famous Julliard School where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After gaining some professional experience on the stage, he got a role in the film, "Far And Away". Ironically, he and co-star Tom Cruise were born on the very same day! Thomas and Tom later appeared together again in the movie, "Eyes Wide Shut".
