Series Description The Creature Features TV show was a 120 minute horror series that ran on Chicago, Illinois' WGN superstation as well as other major local TV stations nationwide. It featured classic hollywood horror films from the 1930s through the 1950s, "B" horror and sci-fi movies from the 1950s, British horror films from the 1960s, and the Japanese Godzilla and other "giant monster" movies of the 1960s, and 1970s. While many sources report that Creature Features was broadcast on WGN in Chicago, it also aired in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area, Boston, in the Delaware Valley, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York metro area, Omaha, Quad Cities (Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois), San Francisco, South Bend (Indiana), Southern Florida and Tampa Bay (Florida). When the surrounding suburban areas of the major metropolitan areas listed above are taken into consideration, Creature Features was seen in nearly 100 cities. That's pretty amazing for a non-network program!
