Series Description

The Born Free TV show was a drama series about a married couple serving as game wardens in Kenya, East Africa. They cared for the wild animals in their charge and fought against poachers and other bad guys. It was filmed entirely in Kenya.

Born Free Trivia:

The Born Free TV show was inspired by the 1966 movie of the same name. The theme song for the series was the same as the one in the Born Free movie. Composer John Barry won an Oscar for the film's soundtrack. The theme song (see above) mad it to #7 on the charts in 1966 when performed by "Roger Williams". It made it to #38 when recorded by "The Hesitations" in 1968.

Gary Collins has built a very successful career as a personality. His role on "Sixth Sense" as "George Adamson" on "Born Free" was his only series as a regular cast member. As of the time of this writing (2008), Gary's last credited role was as a guest-star on the series, "Yes, Dear".
