Series Description The American Dreams TV show was a 60 minute drama series on NBC about a middle-class family who lived in the 1960s and their friends and co-workers. Pretty much every subject you'd expect in a 60s drama was covered including the Vietnam War and its effects on the young men who had to fight it, teenage drug abuse, the beginnings of women demanding equal rights from an unwilling, male-dominated society, the generation gap which was dominated by the popularity of rock 'n roll music, etc. But not all of the plot was negative! We also saw the close-knit family life that still existed in the sixties. Yes, believe it or not, families even ate together! The daughter, "Meg Pryor", was a dancer on the famous TV program, "American Bandstand". The predominant 60s soundtrack was simply fantastic! American Dreams Cast
